The pulse of The Painswick
Meet our Head Chef. Jamie has previously worked at several top restaurants including Gary Rhodes at Rhodes 24 as Senior Sous Chef, as well as Head Chef at the Michelin starred Wild Honey with Anthony Demetre. He's also gained experience working for Waitrose Cookery school, creating recipes and teaching classes, and most recently for a restaurant supplier, Flying Fish Seafoods.
Since joining us in 2017, Jamie has put his culinary stamp on the food at The Painswick, taking inspiration from the changing seasons and past cooking experience, he has created imaginative and understated menus, using fresh local ingredients that pack plenty of flavour and punch. Some of recent seasonal highlights include a grilled octopus starter with jersey royal potatoes, smoked paprika and aioli and a Gariguette strawberry dessert served with sorbet, avocado and lime.
